If you see a stranger

If you see a stranger

if you see a stranger
on the side of the road,
carrying a heavy load,
if you see a stranger,
walking in the cold,
maybe a angel,
maybe just a lonely ole  soul.
How do you know?
Do you ever see,
any body
carry a cross too heavy,
or like a caged bird,
longing to be free,
Has your heart ever stirred.
For somebody like me?
Are you too blind to see.
an angel out in the cold.
or maybe just a lonely ole soul,
with a heavy load,
Standing on the side of the road.
If you  see a stranger,
with a tear in the eye,
Do you just pass them by,
Are you so angry that they don't work,
You don't care ,
if they hurt,
How much is a soul worth?
If all the gold on the earth is weighed.
When you stand before the gate.
Could that ole soul have been saved,
maybe a stranger.
maybe a angel,
who could know.
Carrying a cross,
is a heavy load.
standing out in the cold,
on the side of the road,
maybe a stranger,
Maybe a angel,
who can know?
